Christmas is over and I’m thinking about 2016 now! I have a new adventure on the horizon with a friend of mine that I will share with you soon and I’m so excited about that. And of course I’m wanting to lose the holiday weight I gained 😉 I always find it tough to curtail the treats and calorie laden foods, but recently found an easy chai oatmeal hack in a magazine that should at least help me for breakfasts.
- 1 chai tea bag
- 1 package plain instant oatmeal
- ½ pear, chopped
- 1½ Tbsp. walnuts
- 1 tsp. maple syrup
- Brew a cup of tea using the tea bag in 6 oz. or 8 oz. (depending on how thick you want your oatmeal) of hot water.
- Empty package of oatmeal into a microwave safe bowl, add the brewed tea, stir and microwave for 30 seconds.
- Mix in the pear and walnuts and drizzle on the maple syrup.
