Each season, take a look at your current wardrobe and identify what needs to change. This will ensure you can keep yourself presentable and be your best self at all times.
Have a look at some of these recommendations to get you started:
Take A Good Look At What You Already Have
Just like with anything else you own, you need to have a look at what you already have and identify any needs. When you take a good look at what you already have in your wardrobe you are able to identify your favourite items and the items that you haven’t worn in a long time. You can also identify any items that have seen better days or no longer fit you as they should. Once you have done this, you can sort your clothes into a few piles. A keep pile, a donate pile, and a dispose pile.
Invest In Your Basics
People often underestimate the importance of having basics in their wardrobe, however, they are the most important items for you to invest in. Having high-quality basics means you have a solid starting point for building outfits. You will not have clothing that is going to last, you will have clothing that you can build good outfits from. You should have essentials such as black and white t-shirts or vests, classic basic dresses, black trousers, and workout clothing.
Think About Adding Some New Trends
Trends do tend to come and go, however, that doesn’t mean you should avoid them completely. In fact, when you know what is trending and what others are currently wearing it can you to have a good appearance where others can see that you look after yourself. Whether it’s adding in a statement corset top, a new pair of boots, or trying a new style of jeans if you are following a trend you can always try to blend it with your basics and make it last a little longer.
Look At Pre-Owned
Who said that you always have to buy brand new? It’s not exactly the best way to be money-savvy, is it? Think about having a look at places like Vinted or charity shops. You may be surprised by what you find. You may even hunt down some one-of-a-kind statement pieces to add to your wardrobe. Many people are surprised by what they find by shopping second-hand. Some items are brand new and are a fraction of the original cost.
