So last Friday amid an extremely busy day I made a stop at Sam’s Club to check out the International Delight Mocha Iced Coffee.  This past weekend if you were at your Sam’s Club you may have had demo overload!  So many things to try and taste in the store.  I love the Sam’s tag line of ‘sample.shop.save’ , because it’s true I’m more apt to buy something new if I get a chance to try it before I buy it.

Anyone who knows me, knows I’m a coffee fiend, yeah because the four (yes four!) coffee makers on my coffee bar set up in my dining area don’t give it away…  And while I’ve been a coffee drinker for about 20 years, I have only in the past couple of years begun to appreciate the tastes and texture of iced coffee.

So it was a really nice perk to be able to try the International Delight Mocha Iced Coffee before I brought it home.

If you want to see my entire path to purchase shopping trip for the ingredients used in the below recipe click the picture below.

So I was tasked to come up with an #IcedDelight recipe using the Mocha Iced Coffee by International Delight along with a couple of other ingredients, including International Delight CoffeeHouse Coffee Creamers and Land O Lakes Whipped Light Cream.

Oh uh…see that big empty space between the Whipped Cream and the Iced Coffee…yeah that’s where the CoffeeHouse Creamers would be…but our Sam’s Club was all sold out…(insert teary cry here).

Later I trekked over to Walmart to see if I could get the 32oz creamers there.  I found the Caramel Macchiato variety in the dairy case….

but that Vanilla Latté – that must be one in demand creamer here in my small city, because you guessed it…Walmart didn’t have it either, not even in a smaller size.  In desperation I even checked the shelf stable section, where you can buy them in those little disposable cups…all sold out there too!  This is now on my MUST buy list next time I can find it.  It’s got to be good if no one can keep it in stock!

So this is what I decided to make for my #IcedDelight recipe.

Caramel Crème Mocha Iced Delight Shake

Serves 1

Ingredients:

1/4 cup International Delight Mocha Iced Coffee
2 Tbsp International Delight Caramel Macchiato Creamer
1 1/2 cups of Edy’s Caramel Delight Ice Cream
1 Chocolate Crème filled snack cake (I used a Little Debbie Cocoa Crème but you could use a Hostess Cupcake, Devil Dog or a Swiss Roll)
1/2 cup of crushed ice
Land O Lakes Whipped Light Cream
Chocolate Syrup

Directions:

Blend the Mocha Iced Coffee, Caramel Macchiato and Ice Cream together.

Cut up the chocolate crème snack cake and add to the coffee mixture.  Pulse a few times so it’s blended in.

Add the ice and blend until your desired thickness.

Pour into glass and top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.  Serve immediately.
