Butterfly Collection by Gemmy (Giveaway)

I always wanted to have a butterfly collection.  Seeing all the unique and beautiful wing patterns displayed.  Of course I didn’t want them pinned up on corkboard, I wanted them in a glass house, so I could watch them fly around. Gemmy has made my childhood dream a reality with their Butterfly Collection.  The collection has 4 different types of butterflies, inside a mason jar, under the control of …batteries!

The butterfly is attached to the jar lid by a filament that runs to the battery housing.  There’s a certain amount of realness to it, while it’s understated up close (you can see the filament when the butterfly is at a standstill), but from farther away the fleeting butterfly appears to be real and trying to find its escape from the jar!  I think this is a good gift especially for young girls who enjoy collectibles like this, but also for the grown up, who hints at the memories of childhood or who enjoys the unique.

Butterfly Collection is available in Monarch, Yellow Swallowtail (as seen in my video), Blue Morpho and Pink Morpho.
