Butterfinger’s 90ish Anniversary ~ Give Away

Our daughter loves Butterfingers, and it was a sad day in our home when she started orthodontic treatment that lasted almost 8 years in total where those crispety, crunchety, peanut-buttery, chocolaty treats were off limits in her mouth. But 8 years is nothing compared to the 90(ish) years that the Butterfinger candy bar has actually been around!

Butterfinger designated 2013 as a benchmark for its first 90ish years, as the candy bar originally invented by Chicago’s Curtiss Candy Company was believed to have been promoted as early as 1923 (before it was ultimately sold to Nestlé in 1990). However, Butterfinger parent company Nestlé holds a trademark document from 1928, thus the 90ish reference around its anniversary, keeping in line with the brand’s irreverent sense of humor…Bart Simpson, anyone?! 🙂

So it was fitting that now that the oral appliances are out and the braces are off – that Amber celebrates along with Butterfinger for their 90ish Anniversary and indulges in a candy bar…or two (or three or four and a half!). Sweet memories for her!
