Bring in the New Year in Dallas with the Blue Man Group

The Blue Man Group will be performing at the AT&T Performing Arts Center Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House in the Dallas Arts District, December 30 – January 4.

Blue Man Group is best known for their wildly popular theatrical shows and concerts which combine comedy, music, and technology to produce a totally unique form of entertainment. Although it is impossible to describe, people of all ages agree that Blue Man Group is an intensely exciting and wildly outrageous show that leaves the entire audience in a blissful, euphoric state. With no spoken language, Blue Man Group is perfect for people of all ages, languages, and cultures. BLUE MAN GROUP is now on the road for its first U.S. theatrical tour. My husband and I received complimentary tickets to attend the performance on December 30th. 

Blue Man Group’s show is a larger than life sensual feast for the eyes and ears.  The sounds and colors that you will take in during this 90 minute show are over the top and you can’t get enough of it!  Add a bit of humor to that, and you have an amazing show.  We were on an upper level of the Winspear Opera House and could look all around the theater and young and old alike were engaged, laughing, clapping, cheering and dancing.  It is truly a show that spans the generations. 

The members of Blue Man Group themselves don’t utter a word the entire performance, yet that only enhances the show. Full of technology that will appeal to the tweens, teens and millennials, yet creative and innovative in their style of music and dance to appeal to others – Blue Man Group brings an art performance to the stage like nothing I’ve ever seen. 

With wildly hilarious segments ranging from painting and gigantic tablets, to the up close and personal way they interact with their audience, Blue Man Group is not a show where you are going to ‘stay in your seat.’  One way or another, they are going to get you up and moving 🙂

I can think of no better way than their ultimate dance party as they ended off the show to say hello to 2015, and I think Dallas is a pretty lucky city to be having them here during the ringing in of the old to the new and the first few days of 2015.

This was the first time both my husband and I had the opportunity to see a Blue Man Group show, and I would go back again to see them in a heart beat.
