Act Out Loud: Teen Driving Contest

One of the things that we learned about at the Allstate Teen Driving Summit back in July was the Act Out Loud contest. We were under a non-disclosure agreement about it until now, because registration wasn’t open for it until September 4th and they didn’t want any group getting an unfair advantage over another because they already knew about it (wink).

A group of students from Idaho was at the summit representing the school that won last years competition. One of the requirements was coming up with a t-shirt design reflecting the dangers of texting and driving. These two young men were the designers of this tee.

This year’s Act Out Loud’s registration runs through April 11, 2013. Teens from across the nation will compete to win a $10,000 grant for raising their voices in their community for safe teen driving. This year high school teams will plan an Act Out Loud rally to take place in May as part of Global Youth Traffic Safety Month.

Ask your school or community organization if they are participating. If not let the administrators know they can find more information on ActOutLoud.org.
