Starbucks Frappuccino Light Giveaway
When we can arrange it, my good friend and I ditch find something for our kids to do, and head to the nearest Starbucks to get some gab time in. It's a great way for us to decompress and not worry about the embarrassing things our children might say in public.
Admittedly I am more of a "hot" coffee gal than I am an iced one (although I am a big fan of coffee ice cream, go figure), and when ordering in a local Starbucks would take a latté or a cappuccino over a frappuccino. But I'm adventurous and usually will try anything once, so when I had the chance, I was eager to review Starbucks new Vanilla Frappuccino Light. This will be a nice treat to have on hand, when we can't get out to a Starbucks location and have to meet in our homes instead.
This rich and yummy beverage contains 50% fewer calories and 60% less sugar than their classic Vanilla flavor. Since it is sweetened with Splenda, I was expecting it to be sweeter than your average drink (generally products sweetened with anything other than sugar are sweeter than those sweetened with sugar), but it wasn't. The coffee taste was just strong enough, and it was creamy tasting, the "weight" of it is comparable to I'd say about a 1% milk. It comes in two flavors Vanilla and Mocha.
My tastebuds' are already yearning for another, and I see myself buying frappuccinos more frequently in my future, of course with 1/2 the calories you know it will be the light version! I'm in good company too because to celebrate the release of Starbucks Frappuccino Light, Starbucks set up a lounge in the tents at NY Fashion Week. Each day hundreds of fashionistas, bloggers, editors, celebs and models alike were found relaxing in the Starbucks Lounge.

It depends on the season! I like both equally, in the summer its iced for me, but in the cold winter its hot all the way!

Iced coffee year round, and I love coffee ice cream too.
When I make coffee at home, I'm most likely to ice it.
