Lysol - Control Indoor Allergens - Giveaway

It's spring, which for so many people also equals allergies, and if you suffer from spring time allergies, you know how hard it is to get fresh air into your home without all those allergens coming in too. But, did you know that the same allergens are found on surfaces inside 75 million homes across America?  According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), some of the most common indoor allergens, include dust mites, mold and household pets.  Did you know that LYSOL can help control indoor allergens to help keep your family healthy year-round?

Some easy ways to reduce allergy suffering in the home include:

·         Reduce Pet Dander - Decrease your exposure to pet dander by keeping your pet out of your bedroom, since this is typically the room in which people spend a majority of their time.

·         Wrap Things Up - Put fabric covers over common dust mite hideouts such as pillows, mattresses and sofa cushions and wash bedding often.

·         Clear the Air - Prevent pollen from entering your home by keeping windows and doors closed during peak allergy season. Air filters are also considered useful for helping clear the air of lingering allergens triggers.

·         Wipe Down Surfaces - Be sure to frequently clean hard surfaces to get rid of allergens in your home. Use LYSOL Disinfecting Wipes to remove 90% of pollen particles and dust mite debris, in addition to killing 99.9% of illness-causing bacteria. Also use LYSOL Disinfectant Spray to kill the source of mold allergens on hard, non-porous surfaces.

·         Avoid Mold Spores - To help reduce mold: use an air conditioner in humid climates and avoid the use of humidifiers in dry climates. Also, run the bathroom fan or open the window when showering.

·         Talk to Your Doctor - It is important to talk to your doctor about whether or not allergy testing, medications, and/or other measures are recommended.

What I love about Lysol products:

The Disinfecting Wipes

The Micro-Lock fibers that lock in the particles on the wipes are great.  I love knowing that I'm not spreading the allergens around but am trapping them on the wipe.  This is especially good to know if you have allergy sufferers in your home.

The Disinfectant Spray

I like the variety of scents that it is available in.   I've been able to try a number of them, and this latest can I have is a new one "Early Morning Breeze".  If you remember the strong scent of Lysol as a kid, this is not like that at all, it's nice and light and fresh.  It is not overpowering.  I like using it in the bathroom, as it doesn't mask odors, it cleans the air, and as a bonus leaves a pleasant smell behind.

Lysol would like to give one of my lucky readers a canister of Lysol Disinfecting Wipes and a Disinfectant Spray!

I would love to win this because I somewhat of a germ freak. Since one of my twins has been diagnosed with a chronic illness I like to keep our house and cars very clean.

I learned, "Heating is a good way to remove germs. Generally, the higher the temperature reached, the more germs are killed. Launder your clothes, cleaning cloths and linens at a temperature of at least 135°F."

I learned If we remember to wash our hands at certain important times during the day, we can substantially reduce our chances of becoming ill:

Before eating or preparing food.
Immediately after handling raw foods, such as poultry.
