Kemps Puts the Zing in Frozen Yogurt * Fro-Zing! Giveaway
With spring here and summer just around the corner, I'm thinking thoughts of frozen sweets again. Okay, winter never stops me from eating frozen treats, but the cravings are definitely more acute in summer.
Midwestern brand Kemps has recently introduced a new line of frozen yogurt to their extensive frozen treat selections, called Fro-Zing. If you are looking for frozen bliss without the fat and calories, this is your treat!
It comes in 8 flavors and a ½ cup serving only sets you back 110 calories and 1g (yes just 1!!) of fat. That alone made me sold on it. Let's face it, how many of us really only eat one serving when we dig into a frozen tub of anything? Yet with those nutrition facts, I can scoop a bit more into my bowl without feeling overly guilty ☺.
I was able to try the Raspberry Vanilla and Blueberry varieties of Fro-Zing. They both had a great frozen yogurt taste, with (as the name implies)some tang to it. The consistency is somewhere between a sorbet and ice cream. A bit creamier than the sorbet but not quite as creamy as ice cream. The flavor was true to the fruit, and with the Raspberry Vanilla, it really tasted like I had finished a bowl of fresh raspberries with cream.
Because Kemps is a Midwestern brand it isn't available all over the country, but those of you who can find Kemps in your area should be able to find Fro-Zing in your grocer's freezer section soon. If you can find Fro-Zing already this would make a great addition to your table at Easter dinner. The colors of the Raspberry Vanilla are perfect for the spring holiday.
