The Encyclopedia of Immaturity Giveaway

Be Prepared to Giggle and Never Grow Up!

Amber is one of those people who doesn't like to admit they're getting older, and want to keep being...well....a kid.

Klutz sent her the second volume in their Encyclopedia of Immaturity series, to see what she thought of it. She enjoyed reading and snickering at many of the articles, and she is planning on sharing it with her best friend the next time she comes over to hang out. I'm pretty sure they'll find many activities to keep themselves amused within the covers of this book.

She already has a couple of the entries down pat like the

and fortunately for me she is an only child so has no use for the

In any case this series isn't just for kids, well it is and its not; it's suitable for anyone whose maturity stopped developing around the age of 12. So that may include your brother, neighbor, father-in-law or boss, I'm pretty sure you know someone who would appreciate this series!

Check out this neat How To Slip On A Banana Tutorial.

Review: Super Capers DVD

Fighting Evil Has Never Been Funnier!

Imagine a movie (rated PG) that is one giant parody of sci-fi and super hero movies, that your whole family can watch together, and you might even catch your tween or teen suppressing a few laughs.

In Super Capers, Ed Gruberman (played by Justin Whalen) is a super hero wanna-be who joins up with the Super Capers, an odd ball team of aspiring super heroes, to fight crime.

Decent visual effects don't cover up the silliness, but this is intended to be a family show unlike most spoofs produced and I don't think the writer/director Ray Griggs had any sights set on an Oscar for this movie.

Amber and her friend initially reviewed this copy sent to us and I had no problem allowing them to watch it with me not in the room or without having previewed it since it has received The Dove Foundation Family Approved Seal.

Their giggles while viewing it assured me there is still a place for movies geared for kids that don't need to be paused or filtered.

If your family enjoys comedies and goofy humor I recommend this for watching.

Super Capers will be released on July 21st, 2009 and is available for pre-order now. To see a trailer and more about the movie visit www.supercapers.com.

Friday Funnies - Men Vs. Women in Shopping

I have been enjoying the Friday Funny Meme, and thought that I should spread some funny too!

It has long been Hubby's claim that I have a problem when I shop. There is no such thing as a quick trip to Target or Walgreens. I somehow get bogged down at every aisle and end cap.

Incredibly Responsible & Reliable....Or Not

Our church has two Sunday morning services, one at 8:00 and one at 10:45. We alternate between the two, depending what our day has in store for us. The Sunday School hour is between the two, and we always attend that. I serve in the church nursery that hour every week.

Last Saturday evening, we stayed up late. Too late. We also stayed up far too late on Friday also. As I was going to bed (too late), I set my alarm for 8:00 am, plenty of time to get ready for 9:30 Sunday School. Or so I thought.

Genius comes into my room Sunday morning at 9:39 am saying "Mom, were we going to church this morning?" YIKES!!!

This incredibly responsible and reliable 12 year old, got up, dressed, made herself breakfast, and then decided to find out why I was still asleep. I guess I still have some work to do on her, lol! I asked her why she didn't wake me first. Her response,"I thought I'd be nice, and let you sleep a bit longer". What a sweet idea ...any other morning.

When I came home from church, I checked out my alarm. Seems I set it for 8:00 pm...sigh.

How Many of Me

I found the coolest site today...it's located here at How Many of Me? You type your name in and you can find out how many people in the United States have the same name as you! I have no idea how accurate it is...but I seem to be the only person with my exact first and last name! There are 7 with Hubby's, and also Genius is the only one with her name also, it's quite cute, go check it out!
