PhotoWorks - Snap It, Design It, Order It

I know some of you are addicted to taking photos.  You run around with your camera taking pictures of everything and anything.

We too have a lot of photos, but we print very few of them, keeping them mainly on our hard drives and DVDs.

While we don't print 4x6 or 5x7 copies of those pictures, I do love showing them off around my home in other ways.  On gift items like mugs and calendars.

I tried out the new redesigned Photoworks site, where I tried my hand at making and ordering a couple of items with my own photos.

What are Your 5 Favorite Holiday Activities to do with Your Kids?

I'm part of  Twitter Moms and they sent out an e-mail asking us to share our top 5 favorite holiday activities that we do with our kids, as part of the Dora Christmas Carol Contest.   I thought this would be a fun thing to share so here are our favorite things to do with Amber at Christmas time.

1. Making gingerbread houses.  This is something fun we do every year, but had a really fun time doing it on our Disney Cruise last December.  Check out our "mini house" compared to the "huge" one they had built as a decoration for the ship.  And yes that is real gingerbread!

2. Decorating the Christmas tree, while listening to Veggie Tales Christmas music.  Even though Amber is now 13, this is still a tradition.  She and Hubby put the tree up and love singing along with Bob and Larry.

3.  Watching the Nativity Story.  Since we believe the entire reason we celebrate Christmas is because God sent Jesus to Earth as a baby to grow up to be the perfect man to die on the cross to save us from our sins, we like to have the "visual" to go along with the awesome account in the New Testament as well.  This is a great movie if you haven't seen it.

 4. Eating Lofthouse cookies.  These are so yummy, and really I can't help but eat almost a whole package by myself.  Since that's the case I only get them at Christmas so that they are a real treat!

5.  Playing Games.  While we tend to play more video games than board games as a family.  The holiday season tends to bring us back to our roots, and we like to gather around the table and play board and card games more at this time of the year.  There is something about gathering around the table with a Monopoly board (ah yea, of course our family plays the Star Wars version!) or Uno Cards, some hot chocolate and popcorn that makes memories!

One Year Subscription to Relish! Giveaway

I struggle with menu planning.  Sometimes I go armed to the grocery store with a list and coupons in hand, all ready to cook for the week.  Yet other times, I wander the aisles aimlessly, wondering if this is the week my family loses 5 pounds, because I can't decide what's for dinner.  Can you identify?

I was introduced to this great website called relish! last month, which has helped me overcome the cooking blahs.

This very simple to use site, allows you to chooses 5 healthy, delicious meals each week (and one dessert ).  You can pick from kid friendly, vegetarian, and crockpot dishes to name a few, and then a grocery list is generated fro you listing all the ingredients you need.

The meals are all budget friendly and quick to prepare as well.

The service does come with a cost, but not an exorbitant one if you typically go the grocery store without a list.  $7.00 a month gets you complete access tot eh site, which could be less than what you spend on impulse or ready made food purchases just because you're not sure what's on the menu for the week.

They also have neat features like a monthly freezer menu, seasonal goodies and a soon to be released iPhone app.

One of the recipes I chose to make was the Meatball Soup and it indeed turned out fantastic.  Amber has asked me to make it again!

A subscription to relish! would be a great holiday gift for the busy mom or a teacher on your list.

If you live gluten free, check out relish!'s sister site Gfree!

Relish! is offering one reader a free year's subscription a $58.80 value!

To enter visit relish! and view their sample menu.  Leave a comment telling me one recipe you would like to try.

Jones Soda Giveaway

An old fashioned look with outstanding taste.  Jones Soda provides both.  But wait...how about the fact that you can make it even more outstanding?

It's possible by making your own custom labels for these tasty carbonated soft drinks at myjones.com.

Instead of putting candy in the stockings this year, consider putting bottles of Jones Soda made with custom labels in them instead.

The uniqueness of such a gift won't go unnoticed.

Case in point;  I put one of ours out at dinner for Amber one night.  She doesn't get a lot of pop so this was a treat for her.  She was pleased with the great tasting "Holiday Cheer" (Strawberry Lime flavored) drink, when she noticed the picture on the label.

"Hey, that's ME!" she announced.

I had the label made from a picture we took at Epcot last December.

She was extraordinarily pleased with soda that bore a label of herself.  (I think she kinda felt like a rockstar).

This kid didn't just fall off the turnip truck either.  When I went to grab a bottle out of the fridge, I was loudly informed that it was her soda.

"Really?" I said.  "You bet, It has MY picture on it." she replied.  Zing.

This is a service exactly what you'd expect from Jones Soda too.

They've been recognized and awarded for their unique packaging that features constantly changing labels, and what better label for your drinks than a label that reflects your personality.

Because of that, soda with labels made from myjones.com, make it an ideal gift for the holiday season.

Available in four holiday flavors,

  • Holiday Cheer – Strawberry Lime
  • Reindeer Root Beer –Root Beer
  • Evergreen Apple –Green Apple
  • Snowdrift Soda –Cream Soda
these can be made and ordered online, available in both a pack of 6 ($16.99 +shipping) or 12 ($29.99 +shipping).

All you need is a photo and a quote, and they will be delivered right to your door, and you can be assured of having one of the most unique gifts this season.  Or if you're naughty, just keep them for yourself!

Jones Soda is generously sponsoring a giveaway for a 6 pack of soda from myjones.com for one of my readers.

To enter visit myjones.com and tell me what flavor you would choose and what picture you'd put on your label.

PNI Photo Service - Review & Giveaway

For the past few years or so, I have wanted to get Photo Cards to mail at Christmas, of course that also meant getting a decent family photo taken!

Last month I was able to accomplish the family photo, and at around the same time I was blessed with a review opportunity that allowed me to get some Photo Cards as well.

PNI Digital Media is a name you may not have heard of before, but I'm sure you're familiar with them another way.  You see, they are actually the company behind the photo gifts in places such as Sam's Club, CVS, Costco and Wal-Mart Canada.

I decided to have our holiday photo cards made at Sam's Club, since we shop there frequently and I have easy access to pick up there.

Making the cards was a simple task.  There is a quick Java application that runs, which enables you easy access to all the photos on your computer.  Uploading of the photos is fast.  The most difficult part of making the cards was choosing a  design, mostly because they have such a nice selection.

Some of the features I really liked when making my cards were

  • Notification that the picture resolution was not adequate for certain styles
  • There were plenty of design choices, no matter which holiday you celebrate during the season
  • The ability to have more than one photo on the card if you choose
The system is pretty user friendly, the only part I didn't care for was that if you needed to change the orientation of the card, it dismissed any photo you currently had selected (in its defense, it warns you about this).  Then you have to start all over again with the new orientation.

To order from Sam's Club you do need a membership, a perk to using PNI through them is you can choose to pay for your order when you pick it up in the store.

After I had completed my photo card and was pleased with it and ordered it, I was sent a confirmation e-mail.  That was a bit messed up; it had my cards slated for pick up in December of 2007 and I was to get my order from a store in Rhode Island (I live in South Dakota).  I think that was just a hiccup in the system though, as when I logged into my account at Sam's online, the information was all correct and my photo cards were to be ready in a week.

Fast - Fast - Fast!! A week is awfully quick, but surprise, I received a call just 4 days later that my cards were ready for pick up.

And here is the sneak pre-view of our family Christmas greeting this year....(You get to see it even before my Mom!!)

I am more than pleased with PNI's service, and will use them again next year (assuming of course we can get another decent family photo ).

Besides using PNI for Photo Cards you can also make Photo Books, Collages, Calendars, Photo Enlargements as well as other gifts.  Some can be picked up in your local stores or have them shipped to your home.  Certain items can have as little as an hour turn around time.

Ellen, a PNI rep, has great tutorials on her blog Today's Ellen, for all sorts of photo gifts, plus you can find the latest blog giveaways sponsored by PNI there as well .

Win It!!  One lucky reader will snag a photo gift from PNI.  The winner will be able to choose from an 8.5"x11" Calendar from CVS, A Set of 50 4"x8" Holiday Photo Cards from Sam's Club (you must have a membership to order) or for my Canadian readers a Custom Photo Calendar from WalmartPhotoCentre.ca.

To enter leave a comment letting me know which photo gift appeals to you the most at CVS, Sam's Club or Walmart.ca, and what photo(s) you would use for it.

For extra entries (the above must be done first) you can:

1. Visit Today's Ellen and subscribe to the blog feed. (You'll get great news on PNI photo products!)

Purple Pig Shirts

The peeps over at Purple Pig Shirts (same peeps who run Crazy Dog Tshirts, those ones built by robot dogs...) sent me one of their Love Life t-shirts to review.  Seriously, this shirt has fast become one of my favorites in my closet.  It is very comfy to wear.
Inspired by health and wellness, these shirts are perfect for wearing when working out in whatever wellness activity you partake in.  They are super soft, and form fitting.  I am very tiny and received a small, and it's snug, so I suggest if you prefer something that doesn't

"cling" that you order a size up.  The lack of tag at the neck is always a welcome sight and feel in shirt also!

Purple Pig Shirts offers men's and women's shirts right now.  But soon they will have kid's shirts and will also expand their offerings to include long sleeve burnout t-shirts and sweatshirts.

Back to the shirt I received.  The screening is done very well, and I love the message on it.  It’s available for $29.99 and comes in sizes Small to XL.  There are so many styles to choose from, for many different personalities. This particular shirt also comes in a long sleeved brown style with pink print.

So if you're looking for a shirt to sweat, laugh and just hang out in visit Purple Pig Shirts for some of the softest tees around.

I was provided with a complimentary shirt from Purple Pig Shirts prior to writing this post.

Apple Pro Peeler from Starfrit® Giveaway

A trip to the apple orchard and our bags are laden with delectable fruit, waiting to be used for yummy baking recipes...but wait...sigh...peeling and coring them is so much work, and I seriously do find it a chore to do so.

I was recently sent a Starfrit Apple Pro Peeler to use and review; and my family  is thankful.
It now officially takes me longer to do the dishes, than it does to prepare the apples for baking.

In just seconds the Apple Pro Peeler, peels your apple with such precision that only a minuscule amount of fruit gets removed with the peel.  Use the included corer/slicer and you might only have to cube the apples at that point for baking.

The see through design make it fun for kids to watch you use, or if they are a bit older use themselves (only under supervision, the blade and the prongs are very sharp), and it has some what of a retro look to it.

When you're done, the directions state to rinse the blade and prongs under running water, but I'd simply use a soapy sponge and then go over it with a wet cloth to remove any soap, again being very careful around the blades.  When I rinsed it under water I ended up getting water inside the housing.  It did dry out on its own, but to avoid that happening again, I've successuflly cleaned it just using a sponge.

The suctioned cup feet on the base make it slip resistant when using it, which is a nice feature.

The only thing I found awkward, is while taking the apple off the prongs when the peel has been removed, I have to hold the handle down with one hand, while grabbing the apple with the other.  Maybe that's the intended way to remove the apple or maybe I'm just a 94 pound weakling, but I find it a little tough to do, lol.

All in all though that is a minor inconvenience for the quickness that this system does peeling, coring and slicing the apples.

Here is a recipe I made, using the Apple Pro Peeler as my prepping tool.

Apple Cake with Caramel Sauce

2 1/2 cups apples, chopped
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
(mix together set aside)

1 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
(Mix together set aside)

1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp vanilla
(Stir into apple mixture)

Mix the apples and the dry ingredients together.  Pour into a greased pie plate.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.  Top with Ice Cream Caramel Sauce.

If you'd like to make the apple prep work in your kitchen faster, you can purchase the Starfrit Apple Peeler Pro for $16.99 - that includes the corer/slicer and 3 additional replacement blades.

Starfrit is sponsoring a giveaway here on my blog for one of my readers to win the Apple Picker Pro.

Smelly Washer Giveaway

Makes Your Washing Machine Smell and Look Great

I am on my second front loading washing machine. After a couple of months with my first one ten years ago, I soon learned that if I did not want my laundry room or clothes and towels to smell all mildewy, I had to leave the door of the machine open after washing.

Front loaders are great at saving water and not as tough on your clothes as a top loader, but the design lends itself to trapped water and residue on and in the door and gasket.

I have never thought of "cleaning" my washing machine. That seems sort of oxymoronic doesn't it, using a washing machine cleaner? I mean by default shouldn't your machine be getting clean each time you use it? Unfortunately not. Detergent and fabric softeners leave themselves behind, the dark damp environment is perfect for mold growth, and then (ick) we throw our clothes in there, and they pick all that up when we're "washing" them. Kind of ironic in a way.

In any case there is a better way to keep that scent and growth at bay then my solution of just leaving the door open and that's Smelly Washer.
To start on a washer that has never been cleaned - take one level cap of Smelly Washer and use your hottest water setting.  (Of course make sure your washing machine is empty first).  Agitate for two minutes and then turn off.  Let it sit overnight, and then in the morning complete the cycle.

Now I didn't have a mildew smell from my washer, since I always leave my door open when it's not in use.  But, I did have some pretty unsightly residue on the inside of the door.

One use of Smelly Washer as detailed above and....

Now to keep a cleaned washer clean you use just a teaspoon in a hot wash or soak cycle monthly to remove any accumulated residue.  Easy peasy.

A bottle of Smelly Washer runs $16.99 plus shipping, but that has 24 uses in it.  So that's less than a dollar a use which I think is worth keeping your laundry from stinking.  If you use the code differentdirections you will get 10% off your purchase. It's also an all natural product so you know there isn't any additional chemicals being put in your machine.

Smelly Washer is giving away one bottle to a reader here on my blog.

To enter leave a comment letting me know you would like to be entered to win.

For extra entries (the above must be done first) you can:

Magnificent Manicure Kit

What a perfect item for your tween's next sleepover!  Girly-girls will want to check out Magnificent Manicure Kit by Elmer's.    This isn't just any old manicure kit though, this will have them learning while they're getting there hands and feet all made up!

As a matter of fact Scientific Explorer partnered with UC Berkeley's Great Exploration in Math and Science (GEMS) program to create fun educational science kits like the Magnificent Manicure Kit.
This cosmetic chemistry set comes with supplies to make a Crystal Mud Bath, Lotion, Bath Salts to soak with, toe separators,  nail buffer and pumice stone.

It all comes with instructions on not only how to get a posh manicure, but why our nails need them and the science behind the neat products that we use to keep us healthy and glam.

Girls will have fun using the dye and fragrance to create their own lotion, and finding out what a crystal mud bath and diapers have in common!

While Amber isn't a girly-girl we set aside an afternoon and took some time to use the kit.  The science of it (no surprise there) enthralled her more than the beauty part, but she mixed the lotion up, and has a nice gift for her grandma!

As I said previously this would make a really fun activity for a sleepover, but would also make a good holiday gift for a young girl who likes nail polishes and lotions.  It's great when an activity isn't just fun but educational too!

B.Y.O.N.P. (Bring your own nail polish, because it's not included).  Suggested Price $19.99, ages 8+.

Thanks to Team Mom and Elmer's for the complimentary kit to do this product review.

Mrs. Smith's Diaper Bag Giveaway

In an unofficial polling of moms and dads that I did (some seasoned parents, some brand new), the question was asked: What are the features you look for or would like to see in a diaper bag?

Survey says......
Moms:

  • Worn over the shoulder
  • Plenty of Pockets
  • Included Changing Pad
  • Insulated Bottle Holder

Dads:
  • No Frills
  • Backpack style

What would you say if there is a company that supplies ALL of those features and more? It's true Mrs. Smith's Diaper Bags have all that and more!

The Mrs. Smith's Diaper Bag converts to a backpack by using its own shoulder strap. Simply unhook the messenger strap and remove the shoulder pad. Thread the strap through the loop behind documents pouch. Attach hooks to the D-clips at the bottom of the back of the bag and size accordingly.

It has dedicated places for your keys, cell phone, sunglasses, credit cards, cash, ID and water bottle.

A full size washable changing pad is located in the bag’s flap.

Two bottles and one sippy cup can be accommodated in their own insulated holders.

6 different patterns are available including Classic Black which the dads won't mind carrying!

Perhaps the most unique thing about Mrs. Smith's Diaper Bags over any other kind has to be the bottom pullout drawer. I have never seen anything like it. This would be the ultimate diaper bag pick for traveling.

If you aren't convinced that these bags are worth their weight in gold, let me tell you a story....

When Amber was not quite a year old, we decided to pull up and take to the air and visit my grandparents in Europe. At the time I had a vinyl, pastel green diaper bag emblazoned with animals. Not exactly classified as chic in the fashion world. I couldn't possibly find myself traipsing around with that bag on my shoulder. So I decided to buy a regular handbag that I could use instead of a dedicated diaper bag. Big.Mistake. 12 take offs and landings and 8 hour flights do not work well with a bag that is not organized nor made to hold things like bottles, pacifiers and lotions. If only Mrs. Smith had been around then!

3 Plane Changes + Feeding in an Airport Terminal + Acrobatic Diaper Changing in the Claustrophobic Bathroom all with a Mrs. Smith's Diaper Bag = Priceless

These bags will be useful long after you no longer need a diaper bag too. I actually plan to use the Classic Black bag as my carry on when we travel next. The drawer on the bottom will be handy for those quick things we tend to use all the time on flights, like chewing gum, books, and my mp3 player. I won't have to dig through anything and it will be right there for me.

Mrs. Smith's is happy to give away a Mrs. Smith's Diaper Bag in your choice of style (based on inventory in stock) to 2 of my readers!

To enter the giveaway visit Mrssmithsbags.com and tell me which pattern you would choose.

For extra entries (the above must be done first) you can:

1. Become a fan of Mrs. Smith's Diaper Bags on Facebook
2. Become a fan of Three Different Directions on Facebook

3. Follow me on twitter and Mrs Smith on twitter and tweet this giveaway (this can be once per day, please leave the direct link to your tweet in the comments). Just click the birdie.
4. Follow my blog publicly.
5. Subscribe to my feed via e-mail or reader.
6. Blog about this giveaway linking back to my blog.
7. Add my button to your blog.

This giveaway will end on November 4, 2009 at 11:59 pm cst and open to U.S. and Canadian Residents (no PO Boxes) ages 18+. The winner will be chosen by random.org and will be e-mailed. The winner will have 48 hours to respond to the e-mail or an alternate winner will be chosen. Family Photos

We had some family photos done by Amanda's Imagery in late September and I want to share a couple with you.

Facebook is a great place for networking and I found Amanda through a mutual friend. She is working on building up her portfolio, and we are part of the lucky ones who have discovered her talents early!

If you live in the Sioux Empire area and are needing holiday pictures or have a child graduating high school and need some senior pictures done, give Amanda a call. You can see many of the photos she has taken on her Facebook Fan Page.

I'll share more about Amanda's Imagery in the future. She is currently moving, where she'll have some studio space. For those of you who don't live in the Sioux Empire, she also makes custom wedding jewelry and personal scrapbook pages, and she'll have a website up and running to showcase that as well.

In the meantime here are just a couple of the many great pics from our photo shoot.

Many thanks to Amanda's Imagery for providing us with a complimentary photo shoot!

Arnold Dutch Country 100% Whole Wheat Bread

Coming from a European background I grew up eating a lot of rye and brown breads.  When I became a mother, I started giving Amber those kind as well, but she is a picky eater when it comes to texture, and she wouldn't eat the denser breads.  So I bought white bread for her to eat, and Hubby started eating it too.

So for the past 10 years or so, I've been buying two types of bread all the time, one for Hubby and Amber and one for myself.  I still prefer the taste and nutritional value of whole wheat over white.

I recently had the opportunity to sample a loaf of Arnold Dutch Country 100% Whole Wheat Bread, and I was pleased with the taste and the texture.
We made grilled cheese sandwiches the other night for dinner, and didn't have enough white bread for both Hubby and Amber, so Hubby took one for the team and had his sandwiches with the Arnold's bread too.  And he liked it!  He was actually glad to be able to eat a couple of grilled cheese sandwiches that filled him up like a meal, rather than a snack.

I found this bread worked great with grilled cheese because it is larger than your average white sandwich bread and denser so when you're frying it, it doesn't go soggy.  Additionally, I enjoyed it as morning toast, and think that it would be perfect for making french toast as well as a regular cold sandwich.

The nutritional stats are impressive with 3 grams of fiber per slice and 0 grams of transfat, and it is low in cholesterol too.  All things that are important to me when choosing foods.

If you would like to see where you can purchase Arnold's products, you can use the zip code locator on their website.  They also have a fun Kids Corner and Recipes for their products as well.

I received a complimentary loaf of Arnold Dutch Country 100% Whole Wheat Bread for the purpose of this review.

Disney World - What Will You Celebrate? Giveaway!

Disney has been a celebratory part of so many special occasions in our life.

It started when we got married, we honeymooned there.

We took a Disney cruise for our 10th anniversary.

Amber's 8th birthday was celebrated at Disney World.

Next year we will celebrate our 16th anniversary with yet another Disney cruise!

And then of course there is are all the trips we took just to celebrate being us! (Yes, if I count correctly it places us at 10 trips in 15 years!)

Yesterday we had some folks in to celebrate a birthday in Disney fashion!  And while the party was for one of the "Moms"  the kids had an awesome time partaking in the festivities.  She got free admission to our party, just like she would have gotten free admission to Walt Disney World since it was her birthday!

Mom Select (Mickey Mom's Club) and Walt Disney World Resort, sent us some very fun party items to have a celebration.  Typical of Disney, anything can be a celebration.  An anniversary, graduation, special accomplishment, or a birthday like we celebrated.  Disney can put just the right "magic" to make the ordinary, well extraordinary!

We began our party with Amber being a cast member to welcome our guests.

We proceeded to eat some of the tasty snacks that I prepared and that we were sent in our What Will You Celebrate? Package.  The children were disappointed that the fortunes in the cookies did not tell them that they had won a free trip to the Walt Disney World Resort.  They did tell us to visit www.momselect.com/mickeymomsclub

Here we have our very own "Mousekedoer" chowing down so that he has plenty of energy to play the planned games and participate in the fun activities!

There were Mouse Ears to show our celebratory spirit .......

Balloon whacking, just because teenagers think that's fun....

And for those of us who think we're experts, we played some Disney Scene It to prove just how smart we thought we were.

And while celebrating a birthday in our home this way was certainly special, a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, well that would be the icing on the cake so to speak!  The magic there, really is what fairy tales are made of.
Sharing the highlights from all our Disney trips is so much fun and we always tell people that if the budget allows, they really should experience it.

We had some extra goodie bags leftover from our party, and since Mom Select and Disney shared with us, we would like to share with you!

Two winners will each receive two goodie bags with the items pictured below and a couple of other things that aren't in the photo.

To enter just leave a comment letting me know what sort of occasion would you like to celebrate at Walt Disney World Resort?

Eating Right Kids™

Eating Right™ Uniting Flavor and Nutrition

Eating Right™ Kids is a new brand of yummy, healthy foods, especially for the little people in your life.

Wholesome choices for eating at each meal and snack time, and with convenient options there's no need to sacrifice healthy food because you're short on time or need to be on the go.

Parents will notice the Spot Your Needs™ system. Colored circles that allow you to quickly see a specific health benefit. Kids will notice the ever entertaining and delightful Looney Tunes characters.

In conjunction with Team Mom, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Safeway, I received an Eating Right™ Kids lunch bag which contained a microwavable pasta meal, a fruit cup, chewy bar and apple juice.

I really like that you can see clearly the healthy benefits of the foods. We are often in need of a quick meal that Amber can make on her own, and if she wants a can of ravioli or a frozen dinner, I'd rather her eat one with whole grains or more fiber.

Since we homeschool, I don't need to pack a lot of lunches, and with just one child it often doesn't pay to make a whole pot of mac and cheese or open a package of hot dogs.  For that reason convenience foods are consumed quite a bit in our home, but I always look for the healthiest ones I can find.  Paired with some fruit or veggies, Amber can make it herself and learn some responsibility as well.

Amber enjoyed all that we received in the lunch bag except for the chewy bar. For the sake of the blog post (she says...), she left that for me to try. It had nothing to do with the fact that it was a mixed berry flavor and berries are not her thing. So I enjoyed that one as a snack one afternoon .

It was tasty and not as sweet as the majority of chewy bars on the market. This is a product I could really see myself buying on a routine basis.

Unfortunately I don't have a Safeway nearby to purchase these products, but this time my Canadian readers are in luck! There are more than 60 items available in the Eating Right™ Kids line and they are available at more than 1700 Safeway locations in the U.S. and Canada.

Multiply.com Review & Giveaway...You Could Win a Photo Book!

Back in July I had shared with you about Multiply.com. It's a social networking site, where you can do so many of the things in one place, that you currently do on four of five.

One of the perks to Multiply.com is that you can order physical picture prints and gifts of the photos you upload.

Multiply.com has a unique tool called the Multiply Auto Uploader, which makes uploading photos quick and easy. They are the only major social network that has such a feature. They also have integrated editing tools so its easy to fix your pictures right from your media locker.

Disney's iParenting Media Awards recognized Multiply's Photo books with the honor of being an Outstanding Product of 2009.

When I was asked to create and review a photo book of my very own using Multiply's services, I was thrilled.

I already had a Multiply.com account, so my next step was to install the Multiply Auto Uploader. That went quick and easy.

I decided to create a photo book for my parents with pictures that we took when thy came for a visit in August.

I chose which pictures from my media card I wanted, told the Auto Uploader to upload them and "Wow", that seriously was the quickest upload of multiple pictures I have ever seen.

Then it was just a matter of choosing from the layouts and backgrounds what I wanted to create. I decided on a Linen Cover and a Vintage Look, and then started arranging my photos.

When I received the book I was pleased with the packaging. It was well protected during shipping.

The quality was better than I expected and I know my Mom will be very pleased with it as a memory of the time they spent with us.

After making this Photo Book, I have to say my experience with it was excellent, and the tools Mulitply.com has are very user friendly. My Mom could have even done it on her own, and she is anything but user friendly (lol!).

While you are building your book, Mulitply.com auto saves it continually, so you don't have to worry about losing your work in progress, which is a huge plus to me.

Photo Books can be created for so many different occasions and Multiply.com is a great place to get them from. A 20 page book starts at $14.99 so they are reasonably priced as well. For all of the above reasons, it's no wonder they received Disney's iParenting Media Award!

Win: One reader will win the chance to create a Photo Book of their own thanks to Multiply.com.
To enter: Visit Mulitply.com and take "The Tour". Tell me in the comments what you think you would like best about using their site.

Extra Entries: (the above entry must be done first to qualify for extra entries) Please leave each additional entry you qualify for in a separate comment.
