I Wish I Had Caught That On Video...

If I had a penny for every video we never shot of Amber growing up, I'd be rich.  I think we didn't get our video camera until she was about 8 or 9.  Once we got one, we were lucky if we remembered to bring it along with us.  Seriously we are doing well if we remember to bring our still camera on most occasions.   There are times though, that I really wish we had those cute but embarrassing moments on tape, just so we could have shown them at her wedding!  (Mean aren't I?!)

There is one moment in particular I remember.  She was about 6 years old.  She was at VBS in the morning and I brought her lunch to church to eat before I whisked her away to daycare for the afternoon.

Courtesy of chooyutshingOur pastor came into the kitchen as she was eating her lunch and asked her about her fruit.  "Do you know what kind of oranges those are?"  (She was eating Mandarin oranges).  She gave him the dumbest look (that's what I wish I could have caught on video!) and replied "Yeah, they're orange like the fruit, not orange like the color."  (Seriously grown up preacher man, you did not know that?!!? You could totally see those words floating inside her head!).  It was so funny.

I suspect that if I had a nifty camera like the newly released Canon PowerShot SX210 IS, which with the push of a button switches from still pictures to the ability to take HD Video, I would be more likely to catch all of Amber's embarrassing teen moments for posterity!  Hmm...that's worth thinking about!  (and I could get it in purple so Hubby wouldn't want to use it!)

Canon and JuiceBoxJungle sponsored me to write this post, and talk about what shooting video means to my family.
