I Have A Song CD Giveaway - Shannon Wexelberg
I love starting my day in a worshipful way. Sitting with a cup of coffee and some music that allows me to reflect on the day ahead, can set the tone for my attitude. Shannon Wexelberg's I Have A Song, is a CD that I find very inspiring to listen to, to help me focus on how I should be living the day.
While I had not heard of Shannon Wexelberg prior to receiving this CD to review, she is no newcomer to the music scene. This is her fourth CD. Shannon does not consider herself a performer, rather a psalmist, she longs for her music to draw attention to Jesus.
The songs she has chosen for the tracks are powerful and combined with her pleasant voice, you will surely be praising right along with her, whether it's quietly in your heart, or out loud so your neighbors can hear!
My favorite track is This Is The Day, it is truly a prayerful meditation to get your day started right. Based
upon Psalm 145:1-2 the words and music were written by Shannon herself. The lyrics are encouraging and the song bridge states: "For this is the day You have made, I will rejoice, I will lift up my praise..." and throughout the song the words "Every day Every day" are repeated. A reminder that no matter what happens, in the day, week or year, God is deserving of our thanks and praise.
Music can be a motivating force in our lives. I Have A Song is a CD whose songs create an attitude of both praise and peace. All of the tracks share the hope we have when we have a relationship with Christ.
Unique to the traditional hymns and other songs on the CD is the song Jehovah Shalom. The strings in the accompaniment music are enjoyable to listen to, giving a distinct thoughtful tone to the song.
I Have a Song is available at Amazon.com for $15.98. To learn more about Shannon, her ministry and her family visit www.shannonwexelberg.com.
