Mead OrganizHER & Target Gift Card Giveaway

Being able to take two weeks out of our schedules and laze away on a ship, enjoy gourmet food and exotic ports of call is definitely a luxury, here at home our daily lives are so busy that we're running every which way before we have a chance to sit down and breathe.  If I don't write it down, it's likely not going to get done.

I love my computer and think technology is the bomb but....when it comes to staying organized I'm old school that way.  Hands on with a paper, marker or notebook is my style.  I wouldn't remember to mail checks or take my daughter to Girl Scouts or practices if I didn't have it on a calendar, if I don't go to the store with a grocery list...well lets just say I have a hard time deciding in the store aisles what we're going to eat for dinner that week!

I love Mead.  We use their products in our home for our homeschool record keeping, so when I found out they have a line called OrganizHER I was intrigued and wanted to see what it could do for the rest of my household planning.  The products can be purchased at one of my favorite places...Target...and are reasonably priced ranging from $3 to $15.

I was able to choose a couple of pieces from OrganizHER to review, let me tell you a bit about them.

The one I am most excited about is the Write 'N Wipe Meal Center.  Strong large magnets on the back hold it firmly to your refrigerator.  The days of the week are on the left, giving you room to write in lunch and supper plans, as well as an extra space on the right for other notes you might want to make.

There is plenty of space to write a few dishes for each meal, so if you're planning a party or make a few things because you have picky eaters in your home, you should be able to fit them all in the box.

The dry erase pen, erases clean which is I really appreciate.  I've had other memo boards where the marker didn't come off properly and there always a dingy residue left on it.

Also a magnetic shopping list comes with it, so as you plan your meals, you can write out the ingredients you need at the same time.  The shopping list can be hung right next to or even on the Write N' Wipe Meal Center.  I will never have an excuse to not have a list with what food I need for the week again!

Next I'll share with you my thoughts on the Month-To-Month Family Wall Calendar.

This undated wall calendar includes four pages of color coded repositionable labels to differentiate and classify schedules and recurring activities.   I have the calendar shown here for the upcoming month of May.  You can't see the dates very well because I wrote them in pencil.  Because it's undated, that means I can use it year after year, so I penciled the dates in so I can erase them and use the calendar next year.  Genius!  The stickers really are repositionable too.  I put Amber's orthodontist appointment sticker on the wrong date, so had to move it to the correct one, and it was no problem to move it at all and it still had plenty of "stick" on it to hold on the new date.

The spaces allow for two stickers for "me" (the calendar owner), and three for the other members of the family for each date, for some families that may not be enough depending on the number of children you have and the activities you particpate in! There is a line for "chow" too, but since I have my awesome Write N' Wipe Meal Center, I probably won't be using that space.

The months are tabbed out on the edge of the calendar so it's really easy to find which month you're looking for if you are pre-planning events and/or appointments.

And lastly I was sent the OrganizHER Expense Tracker.  This is a must for any household who has trouble with keeping receipts and bills in a single spot.

It’s never too late to get financially organized. The Expense Tracker’s 12 undated monthly pockets hold bills and receipts while two storage envelopes contain loose papers. Tech Lock® rings make it easy to incorporate bank statements and printouts from financial planning software.  It is nice to be able to open the Expense Tracker and have everything organized by month without having to hunt through piles of bills and receipts.

There is plenty of room for storing everything you need to keep financially responsible in this tracker! I love how each month has its own pocket for storing the bills and receipts in, up until now  we just put them into an envelope and haven't organized them at all.  Now when I need to return something I don't have to hunt aimlessly for the receipt (well as long as I can remember when I bought it, lol!).

I am a big promoter of financial accountability, and the Expense Tracker is a product that can get you or keep you on that path.   It doesn't only give you the space to organize bills and receipts but it also gives you a monthly checklist for important things you need to do with your finances, a place to record your expenses along with a confirmation number if applicable and monthly home budget pages.

It also includes three plastic pouches for other things you would like to keep track of, letters, applications or business cards for example.

Another cool perk, is you can go to mead.com and enter the product upc code, and print pages that you need to download for free if you need more!

If you need to take it with you when you go out, no worries the grommeted elastics on the top and bottom corners keep everything in place so nothing slips out.  Besides that, it's pretty fashionable too, better looking than my paper envelope, that's for sure!

These are only a few products that are in Mead's OrganizHER line.  If there's something you need to get a hand in organizing in your home office or kitchen, they probably have a product to help you do it.

One reader will win the three products I reviewed AND a $25 Target Gift Card!

To enter visit the product detail sheet at Mead.com (note this is a PDF file so it might take some time to download).  Leave me a comment explaining what product/products you like best and why you need it.

I need the shopping organizer, because I hate keeping all my loyal shopper cards and coupons in my wallet, and I need something compact so that I can just grab it and go to the grocery store.

The family calendar and meal planner would probably get the most use in our house. Although, something to track expenses could be a real eye opener for us as we are terrible about sticking to a budget.

I like the Shopping Companion because it would be so nice to have all of my shopping lists in one place as well as my coupons. My current coupon holder doesn't have a place for lists or loyalty cards and it is so old that it is actually falling apart.
