Chicken Soup for the Soul - Thanks Mom *Giveaway*

My mother enjoys cooking.  She's not "a chef" per se.  BUT, I never remember as a child, not having a good meal on the table for supper.  Until we were old enough to value sleep more than food, there was a good breakfast before school.  Sometimes money was tight, one year in particular, we didn't have enough for store bought birthday cakes, and my brother's birthday and mine are but a week apart.  Handmade cakes were not "cool" to have in my social circle (I was like 6!  What did I know, really!), but my Mom made an event of it, where I helped along and looking back over the years now, I think it was my favorite cake ever.  Thanks Mom.

Chicken Soup for the Soul: Thanks Mom, is a tribute to mothers everywhere, through all times, from their children.  Biological or not, moms of all kinds are a vital part of our lives.  Most of us, if we're fortunate enough to still have our moms with us can't imagine them not being there.

Thanks Mom, is full of stories, like mine.  Some more simple, others more complex, but all of them giving thanks for who mom is.

I have no doubt that Chicken Soup for the Soul had a tough time narrowing down and choosing the 101 stories, of all of them that were submitted for this book.  After all moms are quite a force in our lives, and when you read these stories you'll think back (like I did), and remember all the awesome mom moments in your life!

Good news!  Three of you have an opportunity to win a copy of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Thanks Mom.

All you need to do is leave a comment with your favorite memory of a mom figure in your life.  The mom can be yours, your spouse's, your grandma, you neighbor, etc.

For extra entries you can:

Follow ChickenSoupSoul on Twitter and Tweet this giveaway.  This can be done daily, please leave a link to your tweet in the comments.

My favorite memory is of my 89 year old mom from only a few months ago. My sister was telling us about a woman who wasn't real nice to her and my mother was saying that's awful. When my sister finished my said "where does she live". I thought it was cute and funny and told my sister mom's got your back.
