Review & Giveaway: Ian's Natural Foods Snacks
Last week, Ian's Natural Foods sent me some samples of their newest snacks to try out. We got to try their Mix2Go varieties and the FruitaBits.
The Ian's Mix2Go snacks come in two flavors, RodeoMix2go and Jungle Mix2Go. These snacks are 70% organic and have no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. There are six 1 oz packages in each box, that are as fun to eat as the box's packaging!
The Rodeo Mix2Go has chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, pretzels and raisins. The Jungle Mix2Go (our favorite of the two) has granola, raisins, banana chips and chocolate chips. The mix ingredients are just the right size for your little monkeys to pick up. This snack delivers the right amount of sweetness without being loaded with sugar.
This a great snack for those needing to be careful of nut allergens. Ian's has a nifty application on their website that allows you to search via allergen-free criteria. A very handy tool so you know what is safe to eat without standing in the supermarket aisle reading all the packaging.
The FruitaBits come in two varieties as well; Berry Cherry and Sour Apple & Cherry. They also come in six packages to a box. Each .75 oz serving pouch contains 25% of the daily Vitamin C requirement.
Amber really liked the Berry Cherry crispy rice fruit snacks, though she did find the pieces were really little and hard to pick up for larger hands (she's 13). I would think that for small children practicing their dexterity and hand-eye coordination, this would be a great snack to keep them occupied for a while! (Assuming of course they don't shove it in their mouths by the handfuls because it's so tasty!)
We liked the taste of these snacks. I like that they're portion controlled, nut free (we don't have nut allergies, but I like to be considerate of other families who might), and natural.
The snacks also have Superfit Points on them. Your children can collect the points and redeem them for prizes at I'm A Superfit Kid.
You can find Ian's Natural Snacks and other Ian's Natural products at Whole Foods, natural food stores and many grocery stores across the country. Visit the store locator on their website to find a location near you.
