PhotoWorks - Snap It, Design It, Order It
I know some of you are addicted to taking photos. You run around with your camera taking pictures of everything and anything.
We too have a lot of photos, but we print very few of them, keeping them mainly on our hard drives and DVDs.
While we don't print 4x6 or 5x7 copies of those pictures, I do love showing them off around my home in other ways. On gift items like mugs and calendars.
I tried out the new redesigned PhotoWorks site, where I tried my hand at making and ordering a couple of items with my own photos.
I have been on many photo processing websites, uploading, designing and ordering things like collages, mugs and photo books.
My first thought about PhotoWorks when I poked around was that they had some unique product offerings then other sites that I had ordered from in the past. A customer is always looking for something different, the one item you can't get from every store on the web, and PhotoWorks provides items like that. If you are looking for a special, personal gift for a friend or relative, head over to PhotoWorks and design one of their items. I'm pretty sure it will be hard not to drop it in your cart ☺. Let me show you how easy to use PhotoWorks is.
Of course like most online services you'll have to register to play around. No billing information is asked for at that time, so you're only giving up your name and e-mail.
Uploading photos is not hard. Create an album and use their java application to upload and you're set. For a full resolution photo on a cable modem it only took about 10 seconds for a picture to upload to my album. If you currently host photos on Webshots by American Greetings or flickr, you can just transfer them to Photoworks.
Once your pictures are uploaded, you can view the details of the photo, make it a favorite, change the caption or edit it in Picnik. Then it's time to shop!
Cards, photo books and gifts are all available. Choose the item you want to customize. A nice description is placed next to it letting you know what you'll be getting if you order it including the price, size, how many picture frames your product has and approximately how much time you'll need to complete your project.
Click on Create Gift and you're ready to drag and drop your photos. You can then zoom in, rotate and shift the photos into position to best suit the area where it is going.
You can save your work while your creating so if you get interrupted before you're finished or would like to create more items before you check out with your order, you don't have to start all over again.
Remember I said that PhotoWorks had some unique products, well I chose to create one of those when reviewing their services. I made a tempered glass Cutting Board, with a pre-made design, where I just dragged and dropped some photos from our field trip to the Blue Bunny Ice Cream Museum last summer. It turned out fabulous, and I'm very pleased with this keepsake we have of that day.
I also had some Luggage Tags made for our upcoming Disney cruise. These display how much we love "the mice" and our ship! They are high quality tags, thick and sturdy with our name and address printed on the back.
If you have some special photos or would like to surprise someone with a personalized item, PhotoWorks will help you make those into gifts. They are offering Free Shipping on all orders over $20 using the code SHIPFREE20 (that's a great deal!) as well as other coupon codes. When you check out there will be a coupon code box and your total will update accordingly. Along with major credit cards, PhotoWorks also accepts Paypal.

I made a photobook through them and it turned out amazing!
I LOVE the jewelry box that they have on there! Following from Friday Follow!
they do some neat things! thanks for introducing me to their site
I made a photobook from them and it turned out better than all of the other photomaking websites. I would highly recommend them. Only drawback for me is they are a little pricier than the others. If I was not on a budget, I would order from them every time. :)
