POWERADE® ‘PLAY' - Less Sugar More Vitamins

You've seen famous athletes hydrating with POWERADE®, and now your kids can hydrate with less sugar and more vitamins thanks to POWERADE® PLAYTM

POWERADE® PLAYTM has just 60 calories in a 12 fl oz bottle.  Parents will love that PLAY has 100% of the daily Vitamin C, and 20% of the daily Zinc, Vitamin B3, B5, B6 and B12.  Even better PLAY has 25% less sugar than traditional sports drinks.  But the young ones will still benefit from POWERADE's ION4TM electrolyte system, which helps replenish four electrolytes lost in sweat (sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium).

The flavors are all 100% natural, and come in Mixed Berry, Fruit Punch, Grape and Orange, in 6 and 12 packs of 12 fl oz bottles.  We got to try the Fruit Punch flavor.  Amber and I definitely noticed that it had less sugar than regular sports drinks.  But as you can see...she took one sip from the bottle and immediately gave it the thumbs up, lol.  I only wished it didn't have as much "color" (paranoid mother, worried about stains on white athletic gear....), but still had the flavor!

Kids have the tendency to forget to drink while they're playing, and if they do remember, generally want something sweet.  PLAY gives them that flavor boost they're looking for, while giving parents the peace of mind that their children are staying hydrated, and getting important vitamins all with less sugar.

I wrote this post while participating in a blog campaign by Catalyst Public Relations on behalf of POWERADE PLAY and received a sample to facilitate my candid review."

I love Grape Powerade, and I don't think I will miss the sugar at all. I agree with you on the colorings: firstly, they are probably artificial and we shouldn't ingest them anyway, and secondly, why can't everything be clear so spilling it doesn't cause mama panic?? Medicines, drinks, Popsicles--if I had my choice between clear or white or colored, I would pick clear or white every time.

This is gross and salty. My kids rejected it and are sticking to water.
