Leap Frog's Math Adventure to the Moon

Math is Amber's favorite subject in school.  It's the highlight of her school day (really!).  She has always excelled at math, and I am so glad, because I struggled with that subject in school.

Media can be a great learning tool and Leap Frog is always introducing new toys and products on the market to help make your child's learning fun.  Their newest DVD Math Adventure to the Moon is one such product.

The age target for Math Adventure to the Moon is 3-6 years old.

Tad and Lily need the perfect collection of things to take to school for their math assignment. When they finally decide on moon rocks, there’s just one problem—how will they get them? With some magical help from their firefly friend Edison, they board a rocket ship to start their quest. Soon the twins learn that math is everywhere, even in outer space! Watch as they use their skills in counting, sorting, skip counting and recognizing patterns to overcome obstacles, find new friends and make the trip back to Earth!

When I received my review copy there were no small children around to view it with me.  I do declare though that if you homeschool and your bigs are doing math, you should pop this into your DVD player for your littles.  They will love "doing" math right along with their older brothers and sisters! (Although the older siblings might be a little jealous that the younger ones get to do math by watching t.v. lol!).

The DVD also include bonus features* including:

  • The Sorting Game - help Tad & Lily sort crystals into their correct groups
  • Four Sing-a-Long Songs
  • Alphabet Song from Let's Go To School

The LeapFrog brand is one of the best-selling and most recommended children’s DVD brands and is considered by moms across the country to be the leading educational toy brand.* The most recent production — Let’s Go to School — was the #1 selling Children’s Non-Theatrical title for two weeks in August 2009**, while LeapFrog DVDs held four of the top 20 spots on the Children’s Non Theatrical sales ranking for four weeks in August and September 2009.*** Continuing on this wave of success, the LeapFrog: Math Adventure to the Moon DVD is available nation wide or on Amazon.com for $9.99.

I am so excited about this! I am starting to homeschool my twins and they are the perfect age for this. I am so glad I read you review. :) Looks like I am going to have to use my swagbucks earnings early this year.

We just got this DVD and it's cute. My girls (5 and 3) love all the Leap Frog movies. The characters are cute so the movie is enjoyable and they are learning at the same time! If they want to watch a movie, it might as well be educational!
