Jennifer Shaw: Love Broke Through CD Review

I had never heard of Jennifer Shaw and was excited to check out her CD Love Broke Through.

If you are looking for a new to you Christian music artist to listen to, I recommend this CD.

I adore the title track Love Broke Through.

A little bit about Jennifer Shaw:

  • She began her career singing opera and has a Master's degree in Vocal Performance from the Manhattan School of Music
  • She's the mother of 3 and her son has Sensory Processing Disorder
  • She quit her jobs with the Columbus Symphony and teaching music at Cedarville University to follow God's leading in her current ministry
  • Her CD Be Still was her first foray into recording Christian music and it quickly got picked up by over 300 radio stations across the country

The lyrics of the songs chosen to be tracks on Love Broke Through certainly reflect the mountain of intense moments in Jennifer's life and lessons learned in the midst of it all.

The last track on the CD is one Jennifer ends every concert with E'en So Lord Jesus Quickly Come.  A beautiful renaissance sounding piece.  Listening to this song shows you why Jennifer was successful as an opera vocalist.

The variety and choice of songs on the CD are ones that you'll come back to again and again to listen to, both for their words and because of Jennifer's voice.

Jennifer Shaw is a fascinating person.  To learn more about her and her music ministry visit jennifershaw.com or watch this video:

I received a review copy of Love Broke Through.
