Devotional Stories for Women Giveaway

Perhaps 2009 was a great year for you, or maybe it was fraught with struggles and tears. Regardless of how last year ended for us, 2010 is a new year for all. The one thing we all need each day is encouragement.

Depending on our circumstances, some of us need it just to get out of bed in the morning, others of us may need encouragement in some of our relationships. The list is likely long for many, and we just want to have something to hold on to.

A short story, a Bible verse, words that feel like a hug. That's what fills the pages of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Devotional Stories for Women.

The foreward is written by Jennifer Sands, who lost her husband on 9/11 and then later was diagnosed with cancer. Either her story or one of the 100 other ones are likely to find your need and encourage you to persevere.

It was nice to stop with the busyness of my day, and get a bowl of chicken soup for my soul as I read these devotions. It is comforting to know that other people deal with the stuff that overtakes me, and they got through the muck with God.

It's not too late to start a New Year's resolution to spend some daily time to slow down, read a devotion, get on your knees and get your soul filled.
