Enjoy Life Eat Freely: Crunchy Rice and Crunchy Flax
I
received two boxes of cereal from Enjoy Life the other day. Perky's Crunchy Rice and Perky's Crunchy Flax.
There are so many options in the store and it's kin
d of nice to know what one brand offers over another without having to stand in the aisles for hours reading the sides and backs of boxes.
Enjoy Life Crunch Rice is 100% natural, sweetened with fruit juice and honey, and is low fat and low sodium.
Moms that have children with allergies will be pleased to note that Enjoy Life cereals are made in a nut-free and gluten-free facility. That ensures the quality and integrity of the cereal. They are free of the eight most common allergens (wheat, dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, egg, soy, fish and shellfish).
The cereal looks a little different than the typical rice cereal. It is tiny and round. It is also nice and crunchy, so it doesn't get soggy in your milk. Although it is sweetened with fruit juice and honey, it has just a hint of sweetness to it. I did not add anything to my bowl when I ate it, and generally I eat cereal a bit sweeter than this, but I found it was a nice change from my usual.
Before these boxes arrived in my home, I had never had flax cereal before.
Crunchy Flax is 100% natural, sweetened with fruit juice and honey, has 50g of whole grain, 425 mg of Omega-3's and 6g of fiber per serving.
What a bowl full of nutrition!
I found this to be not quite sweet enough for my tastes, so I added some craisins to my bowl, and that was just the right combination for me.
I know that many people (my hubby included) are looking for natural ways to get more whole grains, omega-3's and fiber into their diets, and Crunchy Flax is an ideal way to do that.

The crunchy flax cereal sounds good. I've tried to sneak some ground flax into some of my recipes, but this sounds tasty. I bet it would taste good with some blueberries, too. Yum!
There are some yummy looking recipes on their website too that I'd like to try, such as Crunchy Power Bars, made with the Crunchy Flax cereal.
I think I'll look up the Crunchy Flax cereal next time we go grocery shopping. I do try to use ground flax in homemade baked goods but the family isn't impressed :)
great cereal that is good for you sounds great to me
Sounds like a healthy way to start your day!
