I have mentioned on more than one occasion in my posts at The Homeschool Classroom that Amber is a reluctant reader. She enjoys only reading certain types of books, generally those fall into the fantasy or sci-fi genres. But if a book is funny, she will enjoy reading it too.

When the opportunity came to review Viva Cisco, by the description I right away knew that Amber would love to read this.

So much like my teen - if your tween/teen likes fantasy, talking animals and goofy humor they will love this book filled with the unexpected undertakings of Cisco the Parrot of Topopootl Valley. Cisco is not happy in is dingy basement job at the library as The Answer Man, and tries out some very different and peculiar things to try and make himself famous. The pages are filled with comedy and lessons.

Patrick Shannon's writing style which is easy to read, makes the three short stories within the book, a pleasant way to while away the afternoon or a good bedtime read to get those dreams going!
