Skinn Review
Skinn...Where Nature Meets Science!
Perhaps you've seen Dimitri James skin care and cosmetics line, Skinn on ShopNBC, The Shopping Channel or TVSN? Or browsed it on the web at Skinn.com?
Well I admit, I had not heard of this skin care line prior to receiving a couple of products to review. After having used them though, I think they are wonderful.
I got to try out two products.
The first one is the EnergEyes Revitalizing Eye Mask. This is a product that is designed to energize the area around your eyes, to make them less puffy and tired looking, after a night of not enough sleep.
While I'm past the stage of having to get up with a baby, the older Hubby is getting, the more (and louder!) he's snoring, and many nights I wake up having had less rest than when I used to get up with Genius when she was a newborn!
In any case, the EnergEyes Revitalizing Eye Mask ingredients include green tea, white tea, cucumber, avocado, mango and kukui extracts (just to name a few) to give your eyes that pick me up on mornings when you'd rather just stay in bed.
I apply it thickly with my finger tips around the eye area that I want revitalized, then I leave it on for about 3 minutes as the directions say, and wipe it off with a cool, damp cloth. I have used it about 5 times now, and while the jar seems small, there is still quite a bit of product left in it. It is safe to use every day if you like, I have just been using it when I see the puffiness or dark patches from lack of sleep around my eyes. It does leave my skin soft & smooth and it looks much better after using it.
A 15 gram jar costs $22.50 on their website. I would wish they would make it in a larger container, maybe double the size for not quite double the cost.
The other product I got to try was their Wet Shine Lip Gloss.
The color I received, Flirt, is beautiful. It would really make your lips stand out if you had a tan, or a darker skin tone (I have a very fair skin tone). The shimmer looks great too. Packed with Vitamin E, Soy and Aloe it does a good job moisturizing too.
It's not overly expensive at $12.50 for a 15 ml tube and comes in 13 shades.
Two down sides I noticed are that it does come off after awhile (although I don't know a lot of lip glosses that stay on for a very long period of time), and that as far as I could tell, there are no color swatches of the shades on the website when you are purchasing.
