Cookies Anyone?
Well we're rounding out that time of year. Girl Scout Cookie Sales that is.
I'm just glad that Hubby Genius sold her quota at Hubby's work this year. That means we don't need to have a plethora of boxes around our place. Those cookies aren't the healthiest of snacks, although I do enjoy a Thin Mint once in a while.
Here are a couple of pictures of Genius and her best friend Smart Girl at the kick off rally a few weeks ago. I laugh, because they gave Genius the "Shortbread" costume -- she is somewhat tiny! They made sure that everyone knew the "Cookies Were Here" (yes that's a snow bank).

I have a Girl Scout too, but I became very disenchanted after I was Cookie Mom and learned that the girls only earn 35-40 CENTS per box sold for their troop!! Not a bad thing for Council is it to make the lion's share of the profits and I quit selling their cookies for them. I tell people now if you want to help the girls to just give them the $4.00--it is like selling 10 boxes! You are better off giving a cash donation to the troop. I am not impressed by the Girl Scout organization anyway, and this just made it worse.
The girls are adorable in their costumes.
