Rothschild Kids Outerwear Review & Coupon Code

This year has been an exception to the rule - the thermometer has stayed above 32 degrees for November which is almost unheard of here in the Northern Plains (I'm not complaining by the way!). Most years we have already broken out the winter weather gear in early November, and the winter coats and jackets are usually for sale early in September. Of course most of you in the Midwest are nodding your heads along with me.

Since we migrated South from Canada, I know what cold is. Even here in South Dakota the winters aren't nearly as brutal as the winters that I grew up with. Whenever Amber complains about how cold it is she gets the "we walked to school uphill both ways in 2 feet of snow...." Well okay, not entirely true, and even it were, I had numerous Rothschild winter jackets growing up. Yes, it's true, the Rothschild brand has been around for that long, actually it's been around for over 125 years! So chances are, it's possible that even my Mom wore a Rothschild coat when she was younger!

What has changed for Rothschild Outwear is the styles and that you can now shop online! What hasn't changed is their quality for keeping families warm even in the coldest winters that some of us go through ..for many...many months!

Rothschild Kids sent Amber a jacket for this winter. Now normally I would have take photos with her out in the snow, building a snowman, or throwing snowballs at me, or shaking a tree covered in the white stuff, but..we just don't have any of that this year, so indoor pictures must suffice, until it's cold enough to deck out in this beautiful jacket.

This bubble jacket has just enough luster to make it stylish for my teen to sport it out. The cocoa brown color is so in right now, and the ruffle along the zipper is a fashion statement all on its own. Now she tells me she could do without the pink heart print that lines the jacket and fur trimmed hood (it is faux), but I just tell her that if she puts the hood up like she's supposed to when it's cold outside, no one will see the hearts anyway! (Score one for Mom - thanks Rothschild!) As if the jacket itself was not trendy enough, Rothschild has thought of everything for the tween/early teen set....an inner pocket to keep the cell phone in (or in our case the iPod).

A 125+ year old company does not stay in business without making quality garments, and naturally the jacket we received is well made. Certainly a parent does not want to have to run out in the middle of the season to be purchasing a winter jacket because the current one has ripped seams or a broken zipper. We've had Rothschild garments in the past, and they've always held up to the weather and rigors of childhood play while providing warmth and dryness. You can buy outerwear for all the kids from newborn up to size 16 (girls)/20 (boys). The size 16 jacket they sent for Amber fit just right, I especially was pleased with the arm length, as I find many winter jacket brands far too long in the arms.

You can purchase Rothschild Kids Outerwear online at www.rothschildkids.comRothschild Kids would like you to save some of your hard earned $$ this season, and if you make a purchase online you can save 40% using the code TDD40.  If you typically purchase outwear at Christmas for your children this is the time and place to get it.

I received a coat from Rothschild Kids for the purpose of this post. Thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

I like that the coats look so warm and great styles. Love the frilly look around Amber's jacket, very cute! Great review!
