Fiber Gummies ♦ Review and Giveaway
Fiber has important health benefits for children:
- It promotes regularity and prevents constipation
- It helps reduce risk of cancer and heart disease later in life
But how much fiber do kids need? The recommended daily fiber intakes are:
Kids 1 to 3 years: 19 grams
Kids 4 to 8 years: 25 grams
Boys 9 to 13 years: 31 grams
Girls 9 to 13 years: 26 grams
If your kids are picky eaters, it may mean that you have to supplement their fiber intake. Some kids go through spurts where they are fixated on only one type of food, so while you continue to try and get them to eat healthier foods you're at a loss on how to get the recommended amount of nutrition values into them.
When it’s time to look for a supplement, the well known name of Pedia-Lax is there to help.
Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies, a delicious daily fiber supplement, helps your children get the fiber intake equal to a 1/2 cup of broccoli (a serving of three gummies spread out within a day). These gummies are sugar-free, calorie-free, gluten-free and made with natural fruit flavors. It's a great solution to bridge the gap between the recommended amount of fiber and the fiber that your kids actually consume in their daily diet.
However, for parents, the question always is: Will my kids eat these? So, I did a taste test at my house.
I made Amber and Hubby eat them without knowing they were fiber supplements. I just casually handed them a couple as if they were gummie bears. They had no idea they were eating fiber supplements! Honestly, they thought they were eating candy.
These are so much tastier than the current fiber supplement we use in our home, which is a harder type flat disc shape that tastes something like an orange flavor.
You can find more about fiber and find helpful tips on how to incorporate a high-fiber diet into a busy family's lifestyle at www.fibergummies.com. The Pedia-Lax Fiber Gummies are already at your local stores like Target and Walgreens, so look for them the next time your out. (And check for a $1.00 coupon on the Fiber Gummies website too!)

One way is to switch from white flour to whole grain flour products.

Choose brown rice instead of white. Have a container of fresh fruits and veges available in the fridge for snacking.

I love using whole wheat products for my kids! I sometimes also sneak in "baby" oatmeal in some of my dishes, i.e., pancakes too.

I like the suggestion to use brown rice instead of white. A lot of people don't realize that and I wish restaurants would use it instead of white

I would LOVE to win these. My 6 year old son has had digestive problems for years now, and it's so hard to meet the minimum fiber requirements for him. He was on prescription fiber when he was small, but since he's come off of it, the problems are still there. I'd love to try these and see if they would do the trick!
Thanks for the contest!

fresh fruit and veggies
Add Grape Nuts®, berries or almonds for crunchy topping on ice cream, frozen yogurt, or regular yogurt.
Instead of white toast, try whole-wheat bagels or whole-wheat English muffins :)
