Holiday Shopping at T.J. Maxx and a Marshalls Giveaway
I love bargain shopping, it's like a game to me, the best deals are like a huge rush of adrenaline.
One of the "must stop shops" when we go to the Mall of America is Marshalls. I KNOW that I will walk out of there with at least one bag (often two, three or more...). The same great stuff you can get everywhere else is available at often half the price. I can always find the elusive purchase there also, like the silicone roux whisk that I picked up for $7.99 which was $20.00 at all the places I could find it in.
Here in South Dakota, we don't have a Marshalls, but we do have T.J.Maxx, and we went shopping yesterday to show you some of the deals you can pick up for the holidays.
According to the National Retail Federation the average family is planning on spending $682 this season on gifts for everyone on their list. That's 3.2% less than last year. If you're one of those families that is working with a tight budget, T.J. Maxx and Marshalls can help stretch that with things for everyone on your list, check out just some of things we found...
(We actually purchased those shoes at the end for Amber...she's gonna love them!)
Also T.J. Maxx and Marshalls are having a great contest to help get everyone in the holiday spirit -- "Carol-oke!" One lucky person will win a $5,000 shopping spree - just for singing their favorite Holiday Carol! The contest launched on November 30 on YouTube's specially-created "Caroling Channel," www.youtube.com/jointhecarolers. There, you can select from one of three carols, create your own "Carol-oke" video and upload for entry into the contest. Additionally, for each off-price "Carol-oke" video that is uploaded, a charity donation will be made.
Visit Marshalls or T.J. Maxx websites to find a location near you as well as other "it" gifts (you know I must have "it" lol).
One lucky winner will receive a $25 Gift Card redeemable at Marshalls.

A $5000 shopping spree would be nice, but obviously they have never heard me sing:)
I recently got two Ralph Lauren pillow shams at for $7.99 each - a far cry from the $55 they sell for.

My daughter loves the designer Betsey Johnson. Of course, I can't afford any of her dresses, but I was able to find a purse at TJ Maxx for $25, regularly priced $118! I also bought her some Betsey Johnson socks at Marshalls for $9.99. She'll be happy on Christmas morning!
