Pay It Forward With Taco Cabana + Giveaway

Giving is better than receiving, right?!  Well Taco Cabana thinks so!  And in the spirit of the holiday season they are giving out some Be Our Guest cards for a free meal up to $5.99!

They sent some my way (thank you, Taco Cabana!!) so my hubby and I can grab some lunch one day, and they're offering 5 of my readers the chance to win (2) Be Our Guest cards as well, so you and someone you care for can have a meal on them!  How awesome is that?!

Biblical Beauty: Ancient Secrets and Modern Solutions Review + Giveaway

Having grown up with the Bible being a focal part of my lifestyle, I was instantly drawn to the title of this book.  While always having known that I am beautiful in the sight of God and that my inner beauty will always be more important than my outer features, I'd be lying if I said I didn't care how I looked :)

I think it's important to note that although our personality, demeanor and attitude naturally make all of us beautiful women, there are many places in the Bible where the physical beauty of women are specifically mentioned.

Broccoli and Cheese Mashed Please Recipe | Idahoan On Your Table

My mother-in-law was the Best. Cook. Ever.  Mashed potatoes were a staple at each meal.  Creamy, fluffy, butter filled scrumptiousness.  But try as I might I never could replicate the texture or flavor of her mashed potatoes.  Epic fail.  Every time.

One day when grocery shopping I dropped some Idahoan Mashed Potatoes into my grocery cart.  I sneakily made them one night to accompany a roast.

Netflix/VeggieTales In The House Original Series Review & Giveaway

My daughter grew up with VeggieTales (way back when they were sold on VHS tapes!).

We loved snuggling up on the couch and watching the antics of Bob, Larry, Junior and the rest of the crisper drawer, laughing, singing and learning important life lessons, and that God Made Us Special and Loves Us Very Much.  She is now all grown up, but we still sing the songs, and it's actually one of our Christmas traditions to play the CDs while we decorate our Christmas tree.

Decorating with Hallmark for the Holidays #KeepsakeIt

We decorate for the holidays early around our home.  Firstly because we grew up in Canada, and since Thanksgiving is celebrated in October there once Halloween has passed it's a free for all when it comes to Christmas decorating.  Secondly not only do I love the holiday decorations, but it takes so much work to get the house all seasonally decorated I want to have it up as long as I can!!  Our tree is up every year on November 11th.

Last year we bought a brand new 7' tall LED Christmas tree.  It is bee-you-tee-ful.  It's the first thing you see when you walk into our home and when it's all lit up at night, you can't help but get a warm & fuzzy feeling inside.
