Chicken Soup for the Soul: Count Your Blessings Giveaway
There's something about January & February that makes you feel isolated and dreary. Maybe it's the let down after the holidays, maybe its the cold weather (depending on where you live!). It just seems to me that everyone could use a little bit of that silver lining on the edge of those prevailing feelings.
These cold and dreary months are a good a time as any to pick up and read a book too. Perhaps a bit of Chicken Soup?! I certainly felt a bit cheerier after reading my copy of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Count Your Blessings anthology. I've always tried to be the 
"glass half full" kinda gal, but often circumstances get the best of me. I'm the one that sometimes needs big situations like the earthquake in Haiti to stir me up a bit, when I start the "poor me" bit.
Reading Count Your Blessings really made me appreciate the small things that I often overlook in my life, reaffirming the point that time is precious, and we don't know what tomorrow will bring, and that whether we know it or not, every cloud has a silver lining.

My life has sometimes seemed like a bad novel, with so many horrible things happening to one person. But I have also had some good jobs, and am blessed with a husband who is my best friend in the world.
I'm blessed that I've lived to be a senior in relatively good health and in good with God for 2012.
My daughter, my husband, and I woke up relatively healthy and happy this morning--every day is a blessing :)

My blessing in my life is my Dad. He has helped me through some tuff times.He always stands beside me through thick and thin.
