We Love Fish Tacos

At Gorton's, from now until October 7th, they are all about the fish taco. In fact, THEY LOVE FISH TACOS!

I wanted to tell you that Gorton's Seafood and Ortega® are partnering for an awesome promotion this Fall -  The Fish Taco Fiesta Challenge! [Cue brightly blaring Mariachi Music!]

This contest calls on consumers to share their favorite seafood tacos made with Gorton's and Ortega products, creative toppings and fiesta ideas, with fabulous prizes including Gorton's and Ortega free product coupons, a set of Fiesta® dinnerware for Four and a Grand Prize of an all-inclusive trip to Mexico! www.welovefishtacos.com

Before being asked if I wanted to participate in a campaign by Gorton's, I have to admit, I had never had a fish taco before.  I was completely surprised at how delicious my fish tacos were, and how much fun they were to create.

I don't know if I created Fish Taco perfection, but here are a couple of fish taco varieties we came up with.

The Alpha Tater Taco

Ingredients: 1 Gorton's Potato Crunch Fillet, ABC Tater Tots, Shredded Lettuce, 1 Ortega Yellow Corn Shell.

Crunchy Potato Perfection in every bite.  The kids will love this one!

Apricot White Fish Taco

Ingredients: 1 Gorton's Potato Crunch Fillet, Apricot Fruit Spread, Shredded Lettuce, 1 Ortega Soft Tortilla.

This homemade creation was sooo tasty.  The sweet and crunch paired with the white fish of the fillet is delicious.  Quick and easy to make, the flavor is over the top.

Do you all eat fish tacos in your home?  If so what do you put on yours as toppings?  Share with us, and don't forget to go and enter the We Love Fish Tacos contest.  (Be sure to read the full rules before entering, there are some specific requirements that need to be met to be eligible for prizes!).

I wish I was a fish person! But, since I'm not . . . I have never been able to bring myself to actually eat a fish taco. My husband, though, LOVES them.
