I Want To Go On Some of the Best UK Road Trips

Next year is our 20th wedding anniversary. It's also the year our daughter will start college. My husband and I are thinking we'll take a vacation to celebrate in the fall of 2014 (our anniversary is in April) after our daughter is settled into dorm life.

Alamo's Pin Your Happy Place ~ Pinterest Give Away worth over $400!!

I'm so looking forward to summer. If we still live here (which I hope not!), we'll be taking a road trip up north to Canada to attend my niece's wedding. It's the first one of my nieces and nephews on my side of the family to get married.

Big credit card companies have got point programs that give you access to discounts on all kinds of travel, but they can sometimes come with restrictions – you might, for example, find a great offer on a plane ticket, but then you can only book one at that price or you may to have to fly on their time schedule.

The post 9/11 effect on travel

We travel quite a bit here on Three Different Directions and just with our last vacation to Alaska in August we were commenting on how things have changed from leisurely to stressful.  In 2001 we traveled to Disneyworld less than a month after 9/11, and the heightened security everywhere we went was just the beginning.  I found this infographic very interesting about Osama vs Travel - The post 9/11 effect on travel.

Don't Gamble When Visiting a Foreign Country: Consider Health Insurance
