A Christmas Tradition ~ Apple Pie Waffles

Having no extended family where we live means that Christmas around here is pretty quiet.  Last night we went to church for Christmas Eve service and then we went to go see The Hobbit.  Christmas Day is usually just a time that we sit around and play games together, maybe watch a DVD.  But one thing we always do is have Waffles for Breakfast/Brunch and watch the Disney Christmas Parade.

Here's the waffle recipe I used this morning.

Starbucks Holiday Blend Coffee at Sam's Club #HolidayGuide & Cinnamon Toffee Mocha Dessert - #CBias

Are you counting? 20 days, that's it! I cannot believe that there is less than 3 weeks until Christmas! I don't really have a 'list' per say, but one thing everyone who has me on their holiday shopping list knows is that they can NEVER go wrong with coffee! Pour on the Flavor This Holiday Season with Torani

There are days I'm so thankful that I no longer work a 9 to 5 job, with just two fifteen minute coffee breaks. I get to have coffee break whenever I want to by blogging….and believe me, it's a whole lot more than just two!

I have a 'Coffee Bar' set up in my dining room with coffee machines, a proliferation of hot and cold beverage flavors, sugars, creamers and syrups. And the other day I added to them a couple of Torani Syrups for some more fun to stir into my caffeine choices.

Festive Cake Balls

This recipe comes from a Woman's World magazine. It's phenomenally easy and these rich chocolaty confections have a surprise inside. For holiday gatherings you could of course do red/green/white sprinkles, or tint the vanilla flavored candy quick a different color. Add a seasonal flavor of Hershey's Kiss in the middle for extra fun!

Holiday Review/Give Away ~ Simply Potatoes

As part of the holiday meal planning and entertaining portion of our holiday guide, today we're featuring Simply Potatoes. These are perfect for those busy hectic meals during the holiday season, as well as for your traditional holiday meals, because they eliminate the hassle of peeling, boiling, slicing and dicing.

I was able to "Simply-fy" a favorite holiday dish, Potato Pancakes, by using a couple of varieties of Simply Potatoes and their website recipe (which I altered a bit for our family). I had the batter whipped up in no time, and we have a new recipe to enjoy a family tradition with now.
