Riiflex Dumbbells for the Wii

I think it's great that there are so many ways you can get fit with your Wii.  One of the most versatile ways to accomplish that is with the Riiflex, a weight that attaches to your Wii remote or nunchuck.

Each weight is 2 pounds (1 Kg) and the Wii remote and nunchuck are easy to get in and out of them.  It really lets you work those muscles while playing your favorite games.

In my opinion it's a really good investment for your Wii because not only is it made to use with activities like the Wii Fit or EA Sports Active, you can use the Riiflex on your remote for any game you play with it or your nunchuck.

It's fun because you'll find it a bit more challenging to remain at the top of your game when first using them.  For example I had a hard time 'finessing' my style while bowling, when I first used it.  The extra two pounds of weight really makes you aware of the muscles you use while playing.

I've been using it primarily with the Wii Sports because we enjoy the family style game play, that game offers.  So Amber and I can compete against each other, and I still get a workout doing it.  The only downside to using it with a regular game is that you generally only use the one arm while playing, and of course it's much more effective to use a weight in each hand.  But every little workout is a good idea, so I keep it on 'my' remote all the time and that way anything I play provides me with a resistance workout.

The other thing I really like about it, is that the design still allows you to attach the wrist band, so you don't need to worry about throwing a weight at your television.
