Oreo Fudge Creme Cookies & Brownies

It has just come to my attention that Krispy Kreme has added a Cookies & Kreme™ Doughnut and Chiller, both made with real OREO® Cookie pieces.

And that would make me really sad since the Krispy Kreme here in my city closed down a couple of years ago, except that Kraft Brands decided that I was worthy enough to try out a few of their newer Oreo products, including the Oreo Brownies and the Oreo Fudge Creme cookies.

We LOVE Oreo cookies in our home.  They are a regular on my shopping list, all kinds, all flavors.  My daughter even has one of her World of Warcraft toons named Orio (Oreo was already taken as a name when she created it, LOL!).

Let's start with the Oreo Fudge Cremes shall we?  They are thinner than your average Oreo cookie base, think more along the lines of a wafer, then topped with the classic Oreo filling and enrobed in fudge.  Here's a picture comparing a Reduced Fat Oreo to an original flavor Oreo Fudge Creme.

They also come in other flavors too, like Mint, Peanut Butter and the Golden Oreo.

The Original Fudge Creme flavor is delicious, and the Mint ones will remind you of the Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies.  The Golden Oreo Fudge Cremes we actually preferred over the Golden Oreo Sandwich cookies.  We didn't care for the Peanut Butter flavor ones.  They are some what like a chocolate peanut butter cup, except with the crunch texture of the bottom wafer it just seemed off to us.

But...without a doubt our very favorite of the bunch was the Oreo Creme Filled Brownies.  Think Swiss Roll but with Oreos instead!

Since these are individually packaged with 10 to a box, they make an ideal lunch box treat, or snack to bring for school parties, daycare or on field trips.

If you're up for a different type of cookie but still want a familiar taste, Oreo Fudge Creme Cookies & Brownies are worth trying.  I know in our house the Brownies will certainly be purchased again!
