Kraft Sizzling Salads - #BlogEats

So I'm going to be honest here, my family does not eat veggies much.  Their idea of vegetables is corn (which I keep telling them is a grain, not a vegetable...sigh).  I mean I make other vegetables, carrots, broccoli, etc. but they don't appreciate the taste of them, I don't know where I went wrong, personally I LOVE vegetables.

They will eat salad though, and I like that because they can have just the lettuce, and I can add as much as I want of a bunch of other veggies to my portion.  It's a win/win in my eyes.  At BlogEats I was introduced to a new way to enjoy salads in our home with Kraft Sizzling Salads.  Some of you may have seen these in your stores and maybe have even tried them - but they were new for me.

What these dinner kits contain are perfect taste pairings for your chicken and your salad.  You add the chicken and the greens and in under 30 minutes you have dinner.

What I did with the product I received in my big box of goodies (wait for that giveway next week!) was take 3 chicken breasts and cut them up, cooked them up in some olive oil and then added the cooking sauce.  I only used half the recommended amount as we're so not about the spicy in our home.  My daughter still found it 'hot' and my husband and I thought it was just a perfect flavor for us, so I'm guessing for those that like pepper this would be a winner!  Using a packaged salad, I tossed it in the classic caesar dressing and Voila dinner on the table in half an hour.

Beginning in the first quarter of 2012 Kraft Sizzling Salads will be available in the following varieties:

• Chicken Casear (Cracked Black Pepper cooking sauce and Classic Caesar dressing)
• Southwest Chicken (Zesty Fajita cooking sauce and Barbecue Ranch dressing)
• Tuscan Chicken (Pesto cooking sauce and Sweet Roasted Garlic Balsamic dressing)
• Asian Chicken (Teriyaki Ginger cooking sauce and Toasted Sesame dressing)

Look for them on your local store shelves and if you try them let me know what you made with them!

I was invited to participate in a behind-the-scenes blogger conference with the Kraft Kitchens, for which Kraft provided full travel expenses, meals and accommodations and product samples, coupons and premiums, however my opinions are completely my own and I have not been compensated to publish positive or negative reviews of the event or products associated with my experience.
