Kiss Stuffed Sugar Cookies ~ Quick, Simple & Yummy

Chocolate Stuffed Sugar Cookies

If you surf Pinterest at all, you look at the pictures and go: Mmm good! There’s no fooling me though, I KNOW that my baking or crafting isn’t going to look like the pinned picture, but they inspire me none the less, like the Giant Hershey’s Kiss Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies that were pinned from Picky-Palate’s site.

I’m not nearly that ambitious though, I’m a bit more lazy I like shortcuts. So similar to my Lazy Cake Pops – I decided I could make some cookies inspired by that pin, economically and maybe a bit quicker too.

So using some Easter clearance Pillsbury Bunny Sugar Cookies (just 63¢ for two dozen at Target!) and 12 Hershey Air Delight Kisses (that I already had in the fridge) – I made some Kiss Stuffed Sugar Cookies. SO easy, fairly quick and according to my family yummy delicious.

Here’s what you need.

One box of Pre-cut Sugar Cookie Dough (usually 24 cookie dough circles are in the pack)
12 Hershey Kisses (your choice of flavor)

Here’s what you do.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Let the dough get a little warm, it will be easier to work with than straight out of the fridge.

Place 12 cookie rounds on your cookie sheet. I used non-stick foil on the pan, you probably want to use something like that or parchment paper or a Sil-pat mat, the kiss will sink to the bottom and this way it won’t bake on to the cookie sheet, and will be easily removed.

Then with the Kiss tip side down, press it into the cookie as far as you can if the edges of the cookie start to split a bit, you can use your fingers to push the dough back together.

This part is a bit messy! Now take the other 12 twelve cookies and with each one mold it around the Kiss on top. You may have to flatten the dough out in your hand a bit first, it will be sticky! If the cookies are stamped with an image, like the ones I used, they may make a pretty pattern when they’re all baked up. Then again, they might just look like a scary version of the image!

Once you have all the Kisses wrapped up in dough, they’ll look a little like an egg shape. Now bake them. I baked mine for 15 minutes, and the edges and tops got just a bit brown. They were crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. Depending on how you like your cookies, you could check them earlier for doneness.

That’s it!
