Five Lessons Every Kid Should Learn

Credit David BoyleDid you see the original movie Nanny McPhee?  What great learning lessons were to be had in that movie.  Incorporated into fun, but still important things for us all to take away from it.

Nanny McPhee is returning, and Twitter Moms wants the blogging community to share Five Lessons Every Kid Should Learn.

Now mine aren't listed in any particular order of importance, I think they're all equally important!

1. There is never such a thing as a dumb question.  If you don't know ask, and don't be embarrased to do so.  Asking will help clarify confusion, and will undoubtly make whatever you're doing go smoother!

2. Making new friends isn't hard.  A kind word, a cheery hello.  It doesn't take much more than that.

3. Don't get discouraged.  Especially when trying something new.  The phrase practice makes perfect sounds great to grown up ears, but it grates on the young ones.  Encourgae your children to not get discouraged.   Praise them when you see improvement, it will make a world of difference.

4. Everyone deserves respect.  Everyone.  Nuff said.

5. Honoring Commitments.  If you say your going to do something.  Do it.
