Band Angels

We're past the stage in our home where we are covering up scratches and scraped knees with bandages.  But it wasn't that long ago that I was applying Scooby-Doo and Snoopy Bandages to Amber's cuts and boo-boos.

Just the other day though we had friends visiting, and like 4 year old boys will do, our little guest was running a bit too fast and scraped his foot on the corner of the wall.  Like the trooper he is, he went right on playing until it was time to put on his shoes, and then a bandage was prescribed.  We applied Band Angels, a new bandage for kids featuring Bible verses, and he was good to go.

Creators Tim and Tami West created Band Angels for a purpose more personal than just a foot scrape though.  Their four-year-old granddaughter was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes, and she had to be stuck with a needle four times a day.  One weekend when she was staying with them, Tami was putting a Dora bandage on her, and it struck Tim that they were putting something trivial on something serious.  They had been praying for healing, so what if they put a bandage on her that had a healing scripture.  And thus the idea of Band Angels was born.

Those of us who live by Deuteronomy 6:5-9 (NIV),

5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

will see that Band Angels fit naturally into those ideals.  I also think these would be great for church kids clubs, Sunday School rooms and nurseries.

Band Angels retail for $10 for 3 boxes of 20, each box has 3 different Bible verses in it.  For more information, visit www.BandAngels.net or http://www.facebook.com/bandangels.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received the product mentioned above at no cost to myself for review purposes.  Please do additional research of your own when purchasing products mentioned in blog posts.

I'm really impressed with the look of those bandages. I think I had a review offer and I turned it down. we're pretty picky about bandages and how they stick, but these look pretty!
